Let’s get creative
This is an exciting part of the process as we begin our creative thinking in response to your design brief. We gather research from a range of sources, deep dive into the most interesting ideas, source sample materials, and if required, visit your home or workplace to discuss your ideas in context.
Your initial concept
The most successful ideas are developed further into digital design drawings which are collated with the research to form your final design presentation. All this is collated into a sketchbook for you to keep.
We invite you to our studio to review our proposals, and we share our research, design thinking and discuss the various aspects of the design concepts. At this stage, the drawings are early concept ideas and our vision for your project.
Together, we evaluate the design proposals, and we take on board your observations to formulate a direction for the final design.
Your final design
Based on your feedback, we refine your initial concept into a final design which will include all the essential details and information.
We also provide material samples to convey sensory qualities and give you a feel of the materials we’ve chosen.
Where needed, we create prototypes or test models. These help to visualise the project’s three-dimensional qualities, clarify technical aspects, and resolve any potential challenges before production.
We then meet with you to review the final design and discuss logistics and technical considerations. Once it’s approved, we prepare the detailed technical drawings to guide the next stage of your project: construction
