flockOmania

We designed and created a series of sensory objects for an exhibition called flockOmania including the design of the exhibition which was showcased across multiple national and international venues.

An interdisciplinary laboratory of making, flockOmania, brought together the visual and material practices of contemporary jewellery and sculpture with dance and movement. The installation was created in response to a collaborative relationship between us and dance artists, Dr Natalie Garrett Brown and Amy Voris. Natalie and Amy’s backgrounds in contemporary dance, movement improvisation and site-based performance provided the catalyst for this body of work.

The large-scale wearable artworks were meticulously handcrafted using a mix of traditional craft skills in combination with industrial processes. They were exhibited in an experiential, immersive environment where the artworks were specifically devised to invite the audience to interact, touch, play, wear, explore and respond.
