If you enjoy wine then you will appreciate our wine connoisseurs’  cellar which we had the pleasure of designing and making for a beautiful home in Birmingham.

This teeny tiny space was a logistical challenge, located in the basement down a narrow staircase and tight to navigate during installation. There was also a large electrical distribution board to disguise and ever-changing wall and floor dimensions.

We overcame these challenges by transforming this underused difficult location into a beautiful and functional space with a clear identity. Central to the transformation and design is a visually elegant and striking centrepiece to showcase their wine notable collection.

A repeating diamond pattern creates visual interest and introduces a tactile quality. This has been made from multiple layers, which highlights the striped pattern detail seen on the edges of the birch plywood. We enjoy how the warmth of birch plywood brings simplicity and calmness to this space.

The other areas have been designed to maximise storage and a large electrical distribution board was disguised behind simple doors which helps to give the illusion of space when entering the cellar

We enjoyed the in-depth problem-solving and working in collaboration with our client to bring their vision to fruition.
